Repo Provisioning Automation

Repo Provisioning Automation

A Go-based repository provisioning service designed to automate the creation and configuration of standardized GitHub repositories for company affiliates, reducing the manual setup required when launching new projects.

Technologies

ReactContentfulGoGithub API

Problem

Creating new affiliate projects required repetitive repository setup and configuration, making it difficult to ensure every project started from the same standards and structure. The team needed a repeatable way to provision new repositories from an established application template while reducing manual developer intervention.

Solution

Built a Go service that integrates with the GitHub REST API to automate repository provisioning. The service creates new affiliate repositories from a standardized template and handles the initial repository setup programmatically, providing teams with a consistent starting point for new projects.
